Location & Development

South Gate to Starved Rock.

Founded in 1853, we have recently celebrated our sesquicentennial.
Population 750 and growing.

Located 12 miles south of Route 80, and directly off of I-39, about 50 miles north of Bloomington and 75 miles south of Rockford. There is great development potential and the housing market is booming. Only 10 minutes from Lasalle-Peru area where there is the Peru Mall, several grocery stores and many well known restaurants. It is country living with the convenience of the city. The village now has 2 TIF districts that include the full village boundaries. Great development area through the I-39 Corridor!!
The acreage north of Richardson Road (directly adjacent to I-39 access) has approximately 120 acres available for light industrial development.
Directly west of the village lies another 120 acres available for light development. There are also some commercial buildings available for development.
