Garbage Collection Procedure

Illinois Valley Waste is implementing a new system to help alleviate the skyrocketing landfill costs.

For any bags or cans over the maximum allowance of 2-32 gallon cans or bags will need to have a sticker(s) attached. The amount of stickers depends on the size and weight of the extra garbage.

Each sticker costs $1.00.

Stickers are available at Clerk's Office Mon & Weds

Examples of Garbage Sticker Usage:

Twin Mattress: 5 stickers

Full Size(or larger): 10 stickers

Couches(cannot dispose of sleepers): 10 stickers

Easy Chairs/Recliners: 5 stickers

End Tables: 3 stickers

Dining Tables: 4 stickers

Bookshelves: 2 or 3 stickers depending on weight

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS CAN BE STICKERED BY WEIGHT: EACH $1 TAG IS FOR 40 POUNDS OF WEIGHT AND SHOULD BE USED ACCORDINGLY.
